Hastings Street is the heart of Noosa and is lined with resort accommodation, designer boutiques and fabulous al fresco restaurants, more casual cafés and chic bars. Hastings Street is also located right next to Noosa’s popular Main Beach. As one of the few beaches on the Australian coast that faces north, the beach is patrolled by surf lifesavers and is a great option for those travelling with kids. One of the most popular attractions in Noosa for locals and tourists is its National Park which is an easy walk from the centre of town. Covering an area of more than 4,000 hectares, the Park features rainforest, coastal bush and plenty of secluded beaches for those wanting to get away from the crowd at Main Beach. Tea Tree Bay is one of the park’s most popular. Serious surfers will also find some of Noosa’s best breaks at the beaches in the National Park.
The annual Noosa International Food & Wine Festival is a must-do for any serious foodie. The world’s best chefs, winemakers and food personalities gather in Noosa for four days every May and visitors can choose from a range of events including hinterland bus tours, seafood cruises and beachfront cocktail parties. If you can’t make it to the Festival don’t despair – Noosa has some of the best dining on the Sunshine Coast, if not in Queensland.
