Where is Utah in USA
Utah is one of the Four Corners states, and is bordered by Idaho in the north, Wyoming in the north and east, by Colorado in the east, New Mexico to the southeast, by Arizona in the south and by Nevada in the west.
Utah is a good choice
Utah is a spectacular and iconic state situated in the Southwest of the United States. The popular state is well known for its incredible scenery and vast expanses of desert and plains as well as its capital, Salt Lake City. The region is characterised by its large open National Parks as well as mountainous regions and natural salt water lakes.
Salt Lake City is a beautiful city in the north of the state, surrounded by the plains, mountains and the Great Salt Lake. The city is famously the home of The Church of Latter Day Saint, also known as the Mormons. The city has a number of historic and culturally significant buildings and monuments as well as a wide range of activities and attractions suitable for the whole family. Almost everywhere you go in the state there is a National Park that protects some spectacular landscapes. Cedar Breaks is a National American Monument consisting of breath taking jagged valley and cliffs.
There are a number of paths and trails around the region which are perfect for hiking and mountain biking. In winter the area has a number of excellent ski runs and slopes as well as plenty of challenging off-piste areas. Arches National Park is situated just north of the city of Moab. The park is home to the largest amount of naturally occurring arches in the world, with over 2,000 of the incredible sandstone monuments. The park is home to some of the most famous landscapes in the USA such as the balancing rocks and enormous canyons that erupt from the surrounding desert. The Great Salt Lake just outside the state capital, Salt Lake City, is a great place for swimming and water sports, the water is salty but still an enjoyable way to cool off in the Utah sun.
