Casablanca, the economic and culture capital of Morocco, is a wonderful representation of the modern-day Morocco. Though a commercial hub of the country, it has a perfect blend of old and new. Casablanca attracts up-and-coming artists who draw on Morocco’s rich history as well as the western styles from the nearby Europe. The city center of Casablanca is a swirling mix of colonial French design, modern art deco and traditional Moorish buildings ripe for the photo-ops. The city is usually the first stop on traveler’s vacation to Morocco, and Casablanca’s hidden gems deserve some time.
Despite not being a large tourist destination, Casablanca offers a wide range of hotels to suit travelers with all types of budgets. The Old Medina is host to numerous hotels that place visitors close to several of Casablanca’s sites and attractions, including the Hassan II Mosque.
