The city has dozens of beautiful parks and green spaces the whole family can enjoy. The International Rose Test Gardens features over 10,000 roses and a spectacular view of the city skyline.

Sauvie Island just outside the city on the Columbia River is a gorgeous natural oasis where you can go apple picking or sample local products from the farmers’ market. Children will enjoy the wildlife preserve, parks and beaches. For some indoor activity with the kids, check out the Children’s theater or Oregon Museum of Science and Industry.

Adults will revel in the endless opportunities to indulge in Portland’s most popular activity: beer drinking.
