Travel to La Paz
La Paz is a beautiful city that fuses colonial architecture and modern exploration opportunities to create a one-of-a-kind experience. Located in Bolivia, this city has one of the highest altitudes for a capital in the world. Some of the more unusual opportunities offered in the museums and cultural centers of La Paz include the Costumbrista, which displays 19th century ceramic dolls; the Charango, which displays a variety of musical instruments that includes several different charangos; and the Prado House, which displays Aymara and Quechua sculptures.
One unique stop that you won’t want to miss during a stay in La Paz is the Witches’ Market. It is a place where ingredients used in the Aymara trade are offered and you’ll find numerous herbs or natural remedies for sale there too. The markets can be quite bustling, especially during the last two weeks of January, when the Feria de Alasitas is celebrated.
La Paz is a hidden gem that Bolivia should be rightly proud to display. Visiting this incredible city is something that you will always remember.
