Travel to Gabon
Located along the western coast of Central Africa, Gabon has more than 10% of its land designated as national park space. This provides visitors a chance to experience a vast array of wildlife in its natural rainforest or savannah habitats.
There are pristine white-sand beaches to enjoy as well, giving you the chance to relax and explore in a way that best suits you. Along the way, you’ll find waterfalls, coastal fishing, and the beautiful Crystal Mountains.
While staying in Gabon, make sure to enjoy a couple of days at Chez Beti. It is a small safari camp, located seaside near Nyonie, which provides family-style meals and air-conditioned cottages. You can take a sunrise walking safari, explore in the evenings by land cruiser, and encounter everything from hornills to elephants.
You may also wish to explore Loango National Park during your stay. It’s located along the coast and provides access to Iguela Lagoon. Lowland gorillas can be spotted in the park and whales often frequent the waters just off the beach. Lope National Park is another option for wildlife viewing.
If you travel toward the inlands, you’ll encounter the Crystal Mountains. Famous for the numerous begonias and orchids that grow, you’ll find quiet trails are waiting for those who love a good backpacking adventure.
Gabon is a land of opportunity. More than 40 different ethnic groups call this nation their home, free of the strife that other nations on the continent have seen historically. That has helped it to become a paradise for visitors who wish to visit Africa for the first time or plan a unique and exciting holiday adventure.
