A visit to Guyana must include Kaieteur Falls. The water drops more than 250 meters and the only way to really access the area is via a short airplane flight. Several tour companies offer day trips that can be book as part of your holiday. When the sun catches the falls just right, you can see triple rainbows. Try Orinduik Falls as well during your stay.

Mashramani is another stop that must be included on any Guyana itinerary. The word means “celebration after hard work.” The festival is held on February 23 every year and the event is similar to a Carnival celebration. Parades, cultural costumes, and concerts are everywhere.

Make your way to Shell Beach and its conservation area for a unique experience as well. Three different turtle species use the beach as their nesting grounds. It is an excellent option for those who love to encounter wildlife.
