The Islamic Republic of Pakistan is a nation that encompasses numerous ancient cultures. Some date as far back as the Neolithic Age. The Khewra Salt Mines are a unique destination to consider as well. A train runs through the mine tunnels, where you can see several structures and sculptures that have been made from salt. An asthma clinic is setup within the mine and there is a 12-bed therapy center that takes advantage of the underground climate. Lamps and ornaments made from salt are available for purchase.

Pakistan has seen a decline in tourism since 2001, but the complexity of its culture and its natural beauty remain the same. It really can be an amazing destination to explore.
