Travel to Had Yao

The Had Yao beach area in Thailand’s westerly Krabi province might possibly be the most unspoiled tourist destination in the entire country. For those seeing a tranquil beach setting where you can walk for ages and not see anyone, this pristine place is for you. Krabi International Airport is just over half an hour’s drive away, making Had Yao easy to get to. It’s a great time to visit this area now, before it’s discovered and mass tourism takes over, as there are few easily accessible beach resorts anywhere in the world that are unspoiled and not overtaken by construction.

Accommodation in Had Yao is sparse, and that’s precisely the appeal of the area. There are no mass developments to spoil views and crowd the place. Perched on the Had Yao’s long beach that stretches for 7 kilometres is where much of the accommodation providers are located – Had Yao itself means ‘Long Beach’. Several resorts, featuring small bungalows, are set back from the beach, under the shade of towering palm trees, and are about a 10 minute walk or short drive to the beach. Even though Had Yao is not developed in the true tourism sense, it still has the amenities that tourists require, including Wi-Fi.
