Hawaii’s biggest island is actually named Hawaii but to avoid confusion it is simply referred to as ‘the Big Island’. The Big Island promotes the diversity of the island state. Hawaii enjoys a tropical climate, which means the temperature is warm year round. The catch is that there is not four distinct seasons; there is a wet season and a dry season. During the wet season the Big Island will most likely see a lot of rain from November to March and the air will be hot and sticky. The dry season, running from April to October sees the humidity drop a little and the rain pretty well non-existent. In recent years Hawaii has been experiencing drought conditions and even in the usual wet season rain levels have been dropping. So travel to the Big Island a month or so on either side of the dry season and you will likely still experience those desired fine and sunny days.
