Wisconsin is known for its hospitality, and Madison is no different. On your Madison vacation, you’ll find residents to be welcoming, well-educated, and happy, no matter where you stay. During the summer, the Dane County Farmers’ Market fills Capitol Square with fresh produce and crafts, and the Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra plays free Wednesday concerts on the lawn. Rhythm and Booms, a spectacular firework show set to music, lights up the lakeside with explosions of color. The Great Taste of the Midwest craft beer festival is the second-longest of its kind in North America. Over one hundred brewers collectively serve 1000 unique beers each year, lakeside. It’s a must for any beer lover.

Madison’s nightlife is lively, to say the least. Incredible beers are paired with live music at venues spread throughout the city. Venues range in size from the Barrymore theater to bars, and music of all genres is represented. Summer sees free rooftop concerts, as well as amazing music festivals.
