Wallis and Futuna are a French island collectivity that lies in the South Pacific, with Fiji, Tonga, and Tuvalu serving as its neighbors. It is comprised of three primary volcanic islands and several different islets that are split into the two groups that form the name of the collectivity.

Although these two island groups are linked for governing purposes, the cultures of Wallis and Futuna are very different. The Wallis Islands are connected ancestrally to Tonga, while the Futuna Islands are connected to Samoa.
