What to see and do in Puerto Morelos ?

Puerto Morelos is excellent for a relaxed vacation in the Caribbean without the bustle of more populous resort towns; you can walk from one end of town to the other in under 20 minutes. If you need more than a few pristine beaches, charming locals, and sublime diving, Puerto Morelos is an easy 20 minutes from the livelier towns of Cancun and Playa del Carmen. Here you can stay in resorts on either end of the center of town for easy access to the beaches, or an exclusive adults-only hotel for a couple’s vacation. Don’t rule out villas and condos where the buildings preserve the village character.

Located on the east Yucatan Peninsula halfway between Cancun and Playa del Carmen, Puerto Morelos is often referred to as the gateway to the Caribbean. If you crave more adventures, head to a port to Cozumel or into the Maya jungle for a wild day of discovering waterfalls, riding ATVs, and sliding down zip wires.
