Another one of the city’s most famous sites is the Agra Fort. It was built by the Mughal Emperor Akbar in 1565 and now stands as another UNESCO World Heritage site. The red sandstone fort was converted into a palace and filled with a number of captivating buildings including the Pearl Mosque, Shish Mahal, and the Musamman Burj. Inside the walls of this magnificent fortress await all sorts of wonders for visitors to see.
