Many of the objects of the cave can also be found at the Antalya Archaeological Museum, which is a prize-winning institution and presents some of Turkey’s most important archaeological artifacts all displayed chronologically from prehistory through to the Ottoman era.

For more history, you can just take in the sites. Perge is a significant Antalya ruin and dates back to pre-Greek times. In the northern mountains resides Termessos, which is a national park and the site of an ancient city that Alexander the Great failed to conquer. Antalya is a city that fuses modernity and history: modern highways run through this mountainous area and some of the scenery on this route includes remainders of past transport routes, impressive architecture, and the olds inns of the Seljuk and Ottoman Empires.
