These dunes can be best seen in the Parque Natural de las Dunas where the landscape is more reminiscent of the depths of Arabia. From the center of the island, rise volcanic peaks from which you can look out across the scenic desert landscape. Visit the limestone caves of Ajuy, rumored to have been a hideout for pirates in the 19th century. Fuerteventura is a nature lovers dream with its unique climate and natural landmarks.

The beaches in Fuerteventura will be the highlight of your vacation and have a number of watersport options for you to enjoy while you are here. The strong northern winds from the equator make windsurfing and kite surfing a spectacular experience, which should definitely be attempted during your stay.
