You have a plethora of options of where to stay in beautiful Prague. The large city has plenty of districts, each with their own personality and history for you to enjoy. Stay in the heart of the hotspot in Prague near Wenceslas Square in a stylish historic building in Old Prague. Don’t be fooled by the name, Lesser Town is very close to one of the main attractions, the old Charles Bridge and the Vltava. Stay in the residential areas just outside the city center, though only a bus ride away from the airport. The three metro lines are easy to use, making the fantastic attractions of Prague easy to get to.

Prague is full of wonderful and unique sights. Ride the funicular up to the Petrín Tower, a copy of the Eiffel Tower, for a spectacular view of Prague on a clear day and perfect for kids. Visit the ever-changing, vibrantly painted John Lennon Wall on Velkoprevorské námestí, erected in the Beatle’s honor. Vyšehrad Cemetery is the final resting place of myriad of creative Czech nationals, including composer Dvorák, that have dazzling sculptures and headstone; the view of the Vltava is one that cannot be beat.

Visit the beautiful Prague Castle – Pražský hrad – complex for an interesting mix of modern and ancient Prague. Watch the changing of the guard ceremony and walk right past the residence of the country’s president before heading further inside the gates for the spectacular seats of ancient kings. The gothic St. Vitus’ Cathedral, Old Royal Palace, and St. George’s Basilica are beautiful to roam around, but the unique highlight is the Golden Lane along the castle walls.

Walk across Charles Bridge-built in 1390- over the Vltava, and head to Old Town-Staré Mesto- for the interactive Astronomical Clock tower that has been attracting crowds since 1490. You’ll have to pass through the towering Powder Gate, which houses a medieval weapons exhibit that has been used in many of the period movies filmed in Prague. Take the whole family to Prague Zoo on the banks of the Vltava, and to the Inventors exhibit the National Museum in Wenceslas Square.

For something different on vacation in Prague, visit Josefov, the Jewish Quarter, for a compilation of gothic Jewish monuments culminating in the Prague Jewish Museum. Visit Europe’s oldest working synagogue – the Old-New Synagogue built in 1270 – and discover the tale of the Golem.

Down a few pints of Gambrinus or Pilsner Urquell at the bar or try some of the region’s Bohemia sekht sparkling wine for a lot less than you would at home. Expect a lot of fantastic meat and potato combinations that result in a delicious Czech meal everywhere from high-end restaurants to local family-run eateries. With such friendly people, delicious food, and variety of fun nightclubs and entertainment, you’ll enjoy your Prague vacation way past the sunrise.
