Travel to Singaraja

Singaraja is Indonesian for ‘Lion King’ and is the largest city in North Bali near to Buleleng. It is the former colonial administrative capital of not only Bali, but the whole of the Lesser Sunda Islands. Singaraja still has an old colonial capital feel to it with its wider and grander streets than elsewhere in Bali. Singaraja just looks different from other towns and cities in Bali and this is what makes it such a unique place to visit. With a great range of accommodation there is no excuse not to embark on a Singaraja holiday.

Singaraja accommodation ranges from top quality bed and breakfasts and beach cottages boasting seclusion from the town to beach resorts with their dining room set on the delicate sand to indulge in a Balinese romantic candlelit dinner. Singaraja has views to rival all others in Bali, picture prayer rooms and massage tables that overlook the ocean, the ultimate tranquil experience. Although there are no hostels that doesn’t stop Singaraja from providing affordable accommodation for every traveler, ranging from singles and couples to larger families.
