Located in the Tyrol region of Austria, Tux is an authentic representation of what you can expect with a visit to the Zillertal Valley. Not only do you have access to world-class skiing, fine dining, and paragliding, you have the option to go explore snow-covered glaciers under plentiful sunshine.

Although Tux is famous for its access to skiing opportunities, it is a four-seasons destination to consider. In the warmer months, you’ll have numerous hiking, cycling, and mountaineering opportunities to enjoy. More than 800km of paths are available to those who must have their wanderlust fulfilled.

The history of Tux dates to the 18th century when farms were built in the area to take advantage of this unique location. You’ll still see some of these farms as you gaze upon the magnificent vistas which sweep before your eyes.

You can even ski the Hintertux Glacier all year long and it is the only location in Austria where year-round skiing is available. There are several natural wonders to discover in the area too. The Spannagel Cave is quite impressive, with 10km of caverns to explore. Two summer waterfalls, Tux and Schleier, offer their own take on peacefulness and adventure.

Or you could choose a culinary adventure, with local dairy and farm products creating a unique snacking and dining experience. At the Stoankasern, you can even see how dairy products are turned into butter and cheese. If you want to enjoy the outdoors and explore the mountains of Austria, come to Tux.
