Travel to Van

The lake, which is the largest in Turkey, has a high salinity level so swimming is easy and the waters are typically open all year.
In the spring, the Pearl Mullet migrates from the lake to the mouths of the rivers that feed it, creating a 2-month period of fishing that may be available. If you get lucky, you may even run into the Lake Van Monster, a 40-foot reptilian mythical monster with flippers. Van is one of those cities that attracts visitors because of its history, but keeps them returning because of its natural beauty. Plan a journey here and you can have a wonderful holiday.
