Eswatini (former Swaziland) was announced by King Mswati III of Swaziland on Wednesday 18\/4 2018 renaming the country Swaziland to “the Kingdom of Eswatini”. The official change was declared during celebrations for the 50th anniversary of Swazi independence. The change was unexpected but the King has been referring to Swaziland several times as Eswatini, means “land of the Swazis”.<\/p>\n

Eswatini may be one of the smallest countries in Africa, but it is also one of the most diverse in terms of topography and climate. You\u2019ll find arid, hot lowlands and cool mountain peaks, all waiting to be explored at your leisure. It is also one of the last absolute monarchies in the world.<\/p>\n

Eswatini has a reputation for friendliness and you\u2019ll encounter that hospitality from the first moment of your stay. The country contains several large game reserves and parks, many of which are sponsored by the government.
