Yasawa Flyer boat takes you to and from Yaqeta Island and there is a connection to the airport on the main island, at Suva. Do note that there is another option if you are attempting to do a transfer and that is the sea-plane over the island, named Turtle Airways. It departs very close to the resort and you can book with the helpful staff there. You could also take a shuttle bus for sightseeing purposes.
On arrival at Yaqeta Island you will be struck by the simplicity, beautiful perfect simplicity. The 4-star resort comprises a series of bungalows designed with varying degrees of luxury. The food served is rustic Fijian fare with a touch of European. As well, the entertainment areas are situated outdoors covered with bark-roofed pagodas. It all encapsulates a laid back, easy going holiday for those who just want to be near a tropical beach. The island is small and is mainly tropical forest. The beach front is private to the resort and there are nine bungalows available for stays. It is not busy or thriving, but peaceful and remote. You have only the other guests, friendly staff, and gently lapping waves as company.
Yaqeta Island accommodation is limited but most memorable. The atmosphere is welcoming and friendly. You can really enjoy Fijian hospitality at its best here. The breakfast is complimentary every day that you stay. You will also find a refreshing swimming pool and a rejuvenating relaxation day spa to ease all that city stress away.
The resort is the central focus of Yaqeta Island. If you are looking for a holiday that is quiet, relaxing and in a secluded spot, this is the place to come.
